'300'

saw this today. thought it was fantastic, great action scenes, even funny moments in it.

found the whole film completely inspiring and very humbling considering its based on true events. truly heroic men.

Saw it loved it but with your going to this movie thinking its a documentary its not. The director made it clear its based on the battle but its not a documentary its based on frank miller book 300.

Last week Sunday Times story described the soldiers as a "Chippendales SAS" and apparently they're defending something called "Hot Gates", and check out the lead actor full of arrows like St Sebastian, seems like a gay film to me.

 Let me get this straight... You trashed Goodfellas when you said...

...and you've created a thread on 300!!!! Don't you see the contradiction??

Oh I give up.....

Ho-hum.

"Like Sin City, 300 is all about the look - and like Sin City, it has the moral sophistication of a lynch mob. The glorificaton of the body, the dehumanised enemy, the sheer relentless carnage presented as poetry and ballet - 300 is almost fascistic in its devotion to war and heroism.

300 is a valentine to violence, hilariously macho and eye-poppingly homo-erotic."

Yes. Goodfellas is such a naaasty film. The way Joe Pesci used that butchers knife.
Hey, if it rocks ya boat...

lol, very nicely timed. i watched it though. probably mre realistic and historically accurate than 300 is going to be. some of the action scenes not up to scratch though, :D

I went to see "300" this afternoon.I thought it was entertaining & the battle scene's were something else.I was actually surprised i enjoyed this film as these kind of movies don't intrest me.I've never seen "Gladiator".
