300 looks a vast improvment on Troy & Alexander!

I am a sucker for "sword and sandals" films. After Troy and Alexander - both were bloody awful - 300 looks a cracker! Sadly it is not out until March next year. You can find a trailer at this link.

Been looking forwarRAB to 300 for ages, the trailers are amazing. Anything is a vast improvement over Alexander, urgh.

Wow. I'm a huge fan of ancient Greek history but I think I'll have to skip this one. I can't watch movies whose whole point is to show over the top bloody violence.

Hated Alexander but I quite enjoyed Troy - Eric Bana was fabulous in it. Him and Peter O'Toole acted rings around everyone else and stole the film from Brad Pitt.

If you enter this expecting anything remotely close to Greek history, you're in for a disappointment. It's pure, stylised Frank Miller, and not meant to show "real" Sparta in any way. It looks greak, but is really not the same type of movie as Troy or Alexander.

having been a fan of the original movie released in the 60s for close to 30 years i have been looking forward to this new version for some time.

they dont make them like they used to well - they try but they are crap (alexander / troy etc)

hopefully it will be an all action affair and skip over the nasty things they did to women/kiRAB back then
