Hey everyone,
i was just wondering if anyone here could maybe help me out a little bit on this essay i have got to write, the only couple of sections i am struggling on are:

-How can the graphic novel be described as iconic?
-How did the film makers go about recreating some of the iconic images from the graphic novel.
-Why do you think they wanted to recreate these images in film?

Any comments, help or websites, mucly apprecited. Thanks.

All you need for this essay is one sheet of A4 paper and then in large capital letters write "This is SPARTAAAAA!" on it. Then hand it in. :D

It's all 300 is really noteworthy for, anyway. Oh and before I get jumped on, I do like the film. :D

Some answers:

1. Iconic? Perhaps within the realm of comic book fandom it is (I honestly wouldn't know), but I'd hardly say it was iconic outside the realm.

2. As said earlier, on a lot of very powerful hard drives. But they did at least go for a very graphic look in keeping with the source material, and obviously weren't too concerned with the slightly tiresome insistence on CGI 'realism'.

3. Why? As with any actual novel, they thought the story and visuals would transfer well to cinema. It may already have had a sizeable audience interested in seeing it visualized, and for those encountering it anew, it was certainly something a little different they were offering.
