3 'On the buses' spin off films on ITV over christmas

Agreed,i think that although the stories revolved around the bus company the characters ,were expanded to include their lives away from the depot , giving the writers plenty of scope for storylines.

I think one of my favourite moments, is from the film mutiny on the buses where they went to winRABor safari park remember that,! where the animals got on the bus through the damaged back door, had me laughing out loud.

On the Buses is just staggeringly awful , it's grotesque , and yet they made THREE $%&(ing movies out of it !!!

why ?? I could never understand how they got people in , there were some terrific films around in the early 70's - Godfather , American Graffiti , The Sting , Kung Fu movies , blaxploitation , Clockwork Orange , French Connection , Last Tango etc. etc. some regard it as a golden period in fact with lots of classics , and what were we making ? - Cinema versions of sh1tty sit-coms .!

no wonder the world laughs when the phrase 'British film industry' is mentioned .

many tv series were done into films, til death us do part, rising damp, are you being served, on the buses.

most are quite bad, i really enjoy the OTB films though, and although it understandable that many people will look back today and wonder how they ever succeeded, there must have been something at the time to make millions go to watch them, for on the buses to be the bestselling film of 1971, and for it to beat James Bond's diamonRAB are forever.
