3 Major ways to help the environment?

What are three major ways your average 9th grade can help the environment, its for a little part of my paper
9th* Grader
 
reduce use of transport eg more people use public transport

use less manmade products eg hairspray etc

recycle waste
 
There's a book called 50 Ways to Save the Environment. I don't remember the author.You need to get it and read it.
Some of those ways are: recycling, cutting the plastic beer and drink tops so that wildlife will not get choked or entangled, reduce waste in schools, businesses, and government
