3 key formatt What does it do

I read on another forum that someone was having trouble with their N95. The advice to him/her was to try a 3 key format. Could someone tell me in not too technical terms what this does? I have a N93 and would it work on it? I am having no problems but would just like to know. I am waiting for the E90

Sounds like a soft reset. It erases all user-added data. To do it, turn off the phone, then while it's turning on, hold down the *, 3, and the green call button keys at the same time for a few seconds. Never tried it on an N93, though!

AFAIK the 3 betton format keypad is only going to be on the n97

lol, they are talking about the formatting of S60 using the 3 keys, not the upcoming 3 soft keys that S60 3rd FP2 will have...

Angel_wing. and others, Thanks. If it is the same, I have used *#7370# on my 6670 and that worked great. I hope I never need it on my N93, But if I do I will certainly give it a try.
