People don't appreciate them because they are a better band than Radiohead. Wayne Coyne might be one of the coolest frontmen of all existence.

I'd say that assessment was applicable around '00 or '99, just after The Soft Bulletin was released. Yoshimi catapulted their popularity and they're one of the most popular banRAB nowadays.
