depends, what service do you have?
if you DO NOT need the 850 band: the K750 has the same camera and is a lot better priced. if you want a Walkman series phone you can get a w800, which again has the same camera and is a little cheaper as well.
if you do need 850: then the Samsung D600 is an ok phone... personally i dont like Samsungs but its a good price, a pretty good camera, and makes calls. and thats about all i can think of...

Actually I did for a week and the reception on it is crap and call quality was crap too. Just like all the other NEC's...their all crap. This is a public board so I can speak freely.

VteK, dont be so ingnorant, NECs are in fact very useful. along with Siemens, Panasonics, and Sanyos. if we didnt have them, we wouldnt have any phones to throw away, recycle, and reuse the the metal to make real phones like SEs, Samsungs, and Sharps...
but seriously, every company has thier crap phones (some more than others). i mean, look at sharp. the 903 is such a great phone, but they have made some really sh*ty phones in the past as well. Motos and Nokias both have TONS of crap phones, and only a few that are actually worth buying... so NEC may have crap phones, but chances are there might be at least one phone made by them in the near future that might actually be worth buying...
moral of the story, buy a SE, they have never, and will never suck.

The N840 was a GREAT phone that never got the attention it deserved. You either never had one or you had a screwed up one.

motorola v3x is nice, i've had a k750, the screen was horrible and small, sharp 902sh's are probably king of 2megapixel but they might be a little expensive.
