2mb card problem

Hello, I have just purchased an unused 2nd hand Tungsten T and also a new 2mb SD expansion card but have just noticed that cards over 1mb are not supported.

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with 2mb cards. Mine is a Kingston.

When I try to transfer music using Real Player I get the following message from Real Player on my PC:
"One or more files could not be transferred. Please make sure that there is sufficient space on your portable device, and that the files type(s) you are transferring is supported"

The transfer status showing in the Real Player window on the PC is "Will not fit".

The message on from Real Player the PDA is:
"Error - could not write to card, card is possibly locked"
(I have checked and the card is not locked)

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks,
Adrian

As you already noted - only 1MB card is supported on a Tungsten T (now 5+ years old) and there is no ROM upgrade to the T that will support it.

You can try formatting the card in the device - go to card view then menu then format - and see if it will allow transfer then but doubtful. I don't think it will even format but it's been so long ago that I owned a T so I'm working off of memory.....
