28 Weeks Later (28 Days Later Sequel)

For me, what would have been interesting was to have a film set during the 28 days that followed the break in at the Animal testing place - to see how the infection spread, and perhaps had a focus on the back story's of some of the main charctors of the original film -seeing how they got to where we found them in 28 days later....

Of course, you wouldn't have seen much of Cillian Murphy, but more Christopher Eccleston would have made up for that! :)

I'm not sure that I'd be especially interested in a film set after the events, depenRAB on how well it's done, I suppose....

Interresting, presume they would use the ending from Day of the TriffiRAB, (where they join a colony on the Isle of Wight and use the `safe zone` to develope a means of killing them perminently-in books case TriffiRAB, in films case zombies)

well if you listen to the pilot in the plane carefully he says he's entering the quarantine zone and to send a chopper to the farm where jim etc are..

And if Danny Boyle Directs the sequel. itll no doubt be good.

I think Boyle is producing it. The suggestion in the film was that the pilot is Scandinavian or he could be working for NATO or summit or nuffin.
It was said in the film that rage was rumoured to have spread to the rest of Europe and, if memory serves, America so anything's possible plot-wise.
I'm hoping a cigar-smoking good guy chimp will turn up and save the day to make up for the bad image his monkey chums projected in the first one. I bet Alex Garland is writing that one right now.

Yeah but no-one knew if it had spread to the rest of the world. and the guy that was shot by his own army squad said it was just The island that was under quarrenteen

That was his belief, Jim didn't believe him I thought until he saw a jumbo jet in the sky when he was in the wooRAB, then the ending confirms it.

From what I've read of the sequel none of the original cast will be back and the plot of the movie will be:

Americans recolonise the UK

Boyle called this a really interesting idea, but I have my reservations.

The zombies were starving, yes. But they were caused some some disease or virus, and I don't recall being told whether the virus could survive in dead bodies. Likely there would be the chance of re-infection and the whole thing starting up again.

It's not the kind of horror film I like - more atmosphere than logic, with things happening for no reason other than that they were horrible.

haha true... I think it should just be about some more survivors that have made it thus far for 28 weeks. or some sort of mission to find out if the UK is safe to populate again.. ie soldiers, Scientists,

Or maybe a Documentary film crew could set foot on the island illegally?

What about the UK being bought by a millionaire and turning it into a zombie theme park for rich playboys who would get dropped in by helicopter and have the adventure of their life fighting off zombies for 28 days before being airlifted out again.

I'd pay for that. Great fun.
