At the end of 28 Days Later, dont we see that the zombies are dying out? And that's after another 28 days, so after 28 weeks there wont be any left, surely?
There could be a totally different story in the time scape between the the part of the first film where the guy is shot and the very end of the film. There are lots of other people in England afterall. There could easily be a lot of other survivors who have a story of there own.
There are many good sequels out there, unfortunatly there are many poor ones too. To have a good sequel there neeRAB to be a good storey line but on many occasions this is forgotten and a poor script is attached to a big name.
For me this is also the case for certain prequels.
The first movie should have been somewhere in the middle timeframe wise (28 days - 28 weeks).
I had a hard time believing that the first one's timescale was correct. Trusted militery men thinking of raping a child after less than a month? Totally unbelievable. It's the only thing which let the movie down.
The Dawn of the Dead remake was almost a sequel to 28 Days later in many ways. It was suggested in 28 Days Later that the virus could have gotten to the continent and beyond.
Not sure how, given how quickly it takes effect, it seems unlikely someone could board a plane or ship with rage. Perhaps a virus sample or infected person could have escaped from a lab abroad. We'll see.
I enjoyed 28 days but think they should just leave the story there. more then likely it will have a bad script and be just another zombie film. Its just the film company trying to make some extra money off of a good British horror movie. And i cant see us seeing the or original cast as Cillian Murphy has gone on to do big and better Hollywood films. Naomie Harris has now started to hit Hollywood and the little girls acting wasnt up to scratch if you ask me. So i think we will end up seeing another Starship troopers2.
Yeah it was a long time after Jim got shot that we saw them in the lake district. so i imagine we'll have a storyline after that.. although i dont think 28 weeks was the period they were there. thats half a year.
I think.. and here's my theory... The UK was contaminated and in isolation (as the guy that got shot said) and we saw the plane fly over...
But somehow the virus gets to another country (not america) say france/ireland ie a ferry or something sails over there (survivors tried to escape england but the infection spread)
What you think?
I doubt Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Jim.
And to add... i wouldnt say his performance was his best.. very good it was.. but if you are a Murphy fan try the low budge irish film he was in called "disco pigs" i think it was.
Guess until you see a bunch of soldiers stuck in a mansion on a reality tv show with only zombies for playmates can anyone hazard a realistic guess as to their mental state. ;o)
I saw this movie a long time ago, so I can't really remember it properley. However, if most of the world were zombies, then how come at the end they were flagging down that plane? How did they know a zombie wasn't flying the plane?
