28 Days Later

Just watched it again for the second time - absolutely loved it! Especially the first scenes when he was alone in London - I wish it was like that when I last went to London...! :D

please can you post a spoiler here as i dont know what the alternative ending was having crashed as soon as the credits rolled
thanks :)

One thing bugged me all the way through.

Where were all the cars?

There would have been abandoned cars everywhere, but all the roaRAB were empty.

Other than that, very good film.

Just watched it for about the 3rd time on TV. This time I fell in love with that magic music playing whilst they are travelling up the motorway. Did a little net research and am listening to it right now. It's called "An Ending (Ascent)" by Brian Eno and I really recommend it!

Having just re-watched it, i have to say that while it is a good film, i definitely prefer the sequel. '28 Weeks Later' is more action orientated and more "thrilling" with a much tighter plot (imo), plus there's none of that boring rapist soldier stuff.

Still love the bit where Cillian Murphy's character goes on the rampage to that amazing music in the mansion. Easily the best musical score in a film for quite a while.

28 Weeks Later's opening 10 minutes is worth the price of the cinema ticket alone. Very intense stuff.

That was the first time I have watched it and thought it was very good. The beginning set in a deserted London was amazing. The only thing I was not too hot on was when Chris Eccleston revealed their sinister plot. I felt there was no need for that. However I thought a great bonus was the alternative end after the credits. The alternative end was great.

I think I shall be buying it next Pay Day :)

I wouldn't imagine that it will come out in HD as it was filmed using SD MiniDV cameras to give it a more 'real' feel (Canon XL1 to be precise!). Unless they do some sort of movie magic on it and upscale it to HD.
