The verdict: Hiatal hernia, 3 gastric "erosions" and duodenitis.
And of course GERD. Biopsies done.
One of the erosions is located at the lower end of my esophagus just in the epigastrium, it brings the most discomfort. I assume these are just "shallow ulcers"? Does anyone, other than feeling digestivally-screwed-up, feel it affects other parts of the innarRAB? Prior to this, I was diagnosed as having panic attacks in response to my panic-like symptoms which were really just secondary to my nausea, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, and palpitations and just feeling like I was "dying" at times, I felt.
I'm on Zegerid, because they had samples, and my insurance is taking it's time "authorizing" Nexium, as if it is some exotic treatment and I haven't already tried the OTC products, LOL.
Also getting a Gallbladder US tomorrow.
Just an update: The ultrasound technician said she did not see anything abnormal with my gallbladder, and showed the images to radiologist who said I could leave the hospital. I was relieved but bewildered. It's hard to imagine that some GERD and the other stuff can cause me so much misery without there be "something else" LOL.
My stomach is "spasming" right now.
