I just wanted to give some encouragment to everyone out there right now who is suffering through the withdrawals of getting clean from vicodins or any other narcotics. First of all I say a BIG Congratulations for taking that first step!!!;)

I have been clean since August 16 2010 and I feel like a NEW changed person!! First of all...I know it's hard work...Believe me I've been there. I was eating norco's 10/325 like candy. Roughly 300-400 per month! NO kidding either! I sold all my valuable stuff just to get those little demon seeRAB! Until finally one night......I ran out and I could not score because I had no money. I decided right then and there I was going to get my life back if it was the LAST thing I did and LET ME TELL YOU, when you are DETERMINED and WILLING to get clean from the bottom of your heart and soul, there is not a PERSON on this earth that can stop you!!!

I'm not going to lie. It was not easy. The pain was pretty intense but, basically just compared to a bad case of the flu and who here has NEVER had the flu and came out on the other side??? Okay! You CAN do this!! I STRONGLY encourage you to also lean on your Faith and spiritual guidance through this. That alone will make a drastic difference in it all.

I also drank ALOT of bottled water and green tea. because the more you go to the bathroom, the faster your body expels all those toxins. Hot baths for the leg pains and advil or aleve for the pain. The insomnia sucks alot, but if you can take only a SMALL amount of xanax from your doctor or a muscle relaxer for the spasms that also helps alot. If that is not available to you, then I would try some Tylenol PM to help battle the insomnia and it will also aid in the pain.

I am telling you the God's honest truth, we live upstairs in an apartment with SEVENTEEN stairs up then back down and I couldnt even walk without a cane for about the first 7 days....2 days ago, I was running and playing with my 11 year old son! It was great! Now I said ALL of that to say this....Be encouraged because you CAN do ALL things through Christ which strengthens you!! Believe it!! Love it!! Live it!! Be it!! You are a fighter and you WILL make it!!!!

God Bless~ Kimmy

Congratulations!! I know how hard that is. I was addicted to pain pills, Adderall, alcohol and cigarettes and quit all of them. Not on the same day but over a few weeks and it was horrible. I think by far the withdrawal from the oxy's were the worst. I didn't take as many as you did but close and i can relate to how awful the days after quitting were. NA meetings were a huge help for me, did you do anything like that?

Congratulations to you as well!! :) I just did it all at home and didn't go to any meetings. But, had it not been for leaning on my Christian Faith...I KNOW I would have NEVER made it. People just don't give God enough credit for things he does. He saved me from ALL of that and I am so thankful!! I owe ALL of the praise to him...I prayed EVERY SINGLE DAY ALL DAY!! I pray that you continue to be strong and keep up the good work! It's a fight but so worth the reward! A BIG Congrats to you again!!!

Thank you:) I am currently on day 32 and STILL clean and pressing on! It is unbelievable at the inner strength I never knew I had. It just goes to show us that you don't know how strong you truly are until being strong is the only choice you've got! God Bless you ALL!!!! Keep your heaRAB up and keep smiling:) Also keep praying! :)
