22 days after sex, negative pregnancy test. How accurate is this?

sorry, this is in "trying to conceive" but this is unintended as I do not want to become pregnant.
I went to planned parenthood yesterday and requested a blood test but the lady behind the counter told me that a blood test would be "just as accurate" as a home pregnancy test. She also told me that you should have an accurate reading anywhere from 10-14 days after sex. This morning I took my most current at home test (22 days later) and I came up negative. Any thoughts? opinions?

maybe u aren't pregnant, but it sounds to me like that lady behind the counted is too lazy to help you. a blood test is way more accurate than home pregnancy tests.

Good Luck
