One of the things that concerns me about these movies is how much they'll take away from the supporting characters' subplots (Koizumi at Friend Land, Kanna and the mafia, Friend's backstory, etc). One of the things I loved about the manga is how dense it is, and how every little story in it is so well thought out.
Guess I'll just have to see for myself.
