Is there anyone who enjoyed the movie as much as I did :(

Got the dvd yesterday. I figured I was seeing it too much on tv so I might as well get it. It's got deleted scenes and an alternate ending which I look forward to watching.

They showed this movie the other day on the bus, didn't like it. Very predictable and stereotyped.

I don't know what it is but I just love doomsday films. This one is one of my favorites. I can't stop watching it. I have yet to get this movie but I plan on it so I can add it to the little 'end of the world' genre I'm starting to develop. There's just something about the human demise that fascinates me. I guess because when I think about dying, I don't want my death to be something simple and mundane.

Whenever this movie is on tv, like on the Starz channel I always have to stop and watch it. I love all the catastrophe stuff (whcih may sound odd but whatever.) And having been to Yellowstone three times in my life, seeing it go up in the supermassive volcano is just heartwrenching.

As for the whole 2012 prophecy stuff, do I believe it, I honestly can't make up my mind one way or another. All I know is that whatever happens, whether we enter a new age or whether the world comes to an end I'm gonna enjoy the ride regardless of what happens.

And being one who believes in all things that seem 'un-natural' I do consider all possibilities. I'm no skeptic, I take things in whatever regard and if something happens then it happens, if not then okay.

Most likely the whole end of the world stuff in 2012 is false but because not only the Mayans but other cultures predict the same date, it's sometimes interesting to think about.

Can't wait for the movie, it's gonna be killer, literally!

I haven't seen it yet either. If the world is going to end, then I'd expect there to be great special effects in this film, unless it was on a tight budget, which I doubt. I want to see this movie to know what to expect in 2012 to be prepared.

Me too! I saw a trailer to this film & it looked interesting, although why wait until 2012 for all this chaos & probably anarchy as well to happen? Because Mayans say so? I haven't met 1 in my life yet!

Caroline - Same here. I wanted to really get into it and enjoy it and get a little scared, but it was so outlandish and impersonal (no matter how hard they tried to focus on families). It's a soulless movies.

If something does happen in 2012, I doubt it will happen like in the movie. The movie had a lot of different catastrophes happening at once, and for nature to be that active, I don't know. I hope not. Heee.

I don't know about the rest of you but as a major fan of doomsday movies, I am so looking forward to this one!

How come? If I had a dollar everytime I saw a film with an actor in it, I'd at least have $100 today. They are great & important parts to films. Remember ''Armageddon''? Wonder if this film will be better than it.

at first, I thought it was a documentary movie and then I saw that it has actors and yeah, definitely not going to see it.

I disagree about that theory though you can do whatever ya want of course. I doubt this world will come to an end anytime soon, but if it does then may be this film will help prepare people for it. Getting the flu & the world ending are 2 completely different things to me. I'm not very worried about either of them today.

Awesome! It will be interesting once that date comes. I need some excitement in my life. I'll catch the film first though.
