2012 - new trailer

I loved The Day After Tomorrow, however the only thing holding I back, was the singular storyline of one family. This film looks global which is the sort of thing I enjoy! :D

If any of you go to IMDB.com, the forums for this film are funny, there's this big fight about some guy complaining to the cinema about showing the trailer for the film coz he felt the film is all doom and gloom....some nutters out there aren't there? lolol!

It has huge tidal waves, my criteria for the perfect disaster film.

Seriously though, I doubt the laws of physics even had their big toe in the door. It shall be ripped to shreRAB I tell ya, just like every other Emmerich film.

But who cares, with visuals like that, the brain can have a rest and the eyes can engorge themselves.

I've been a long supporter of Roland's films, Stargate and ID4 are two of my all time faves and TDAT was very good too, first major disaster film since 9/11 too. This one just looks insane! Check your brain at the door and enjoy I say! :D

No doubt the story and script won't be ......... crowd pleasing special f/x are usually inversely proportional to said story and script.

load of computer generated bollox!
Five minutes of video game standrd fx-and 2 hours of padding.
with an upbeat, mankind will prevail (if hes American!), reassuring ending, as we all wander en masse, arse and head numbed, into the retail park, snow covered Xmas decs.
i'll pass...

fair enough:)

I guess some of it is, perception

seen some shit cgi in my time but certainly would not qualify that as anything of the sort

i think if you had that resoloution of cgi used for human faces, etc, it would be a fail, but despite not being 100% photo realistic, I think those city scape shots of mayhem look fine and dandy to me:)
