2011 Ultra disappointing

the moco follows suit to auto manufacturers. car companies dont come out with a new model. they market the sheet out of what they have. when it gets old. they roll out a new idea.
as far as making all of these fancy upgrades standard. why would they do that, there is no money in it. they are looking to nickel and dime you to death by adding chrome. besides cheap azzes like me like the standard ultra model. if i want to add a perk i will add it.
i think the best part about customizing my bike is making it how i see fit. not buying a chromed out bike from the get go. what fun is that.
if the moco didnt have showrooms full of chrome/upgrades/add ons. all we would be stopping into the shop is for a t shirt and an oil change.

And it has paid off. This is the first time that I saw a bike comparison to the Japanese cruisers and the testers were in love with the Ultra, literally bragging over it.

No manufacturer listens to its owners more than HD period.

The 2011 Ultra is a great looking machine. I just wonder about those ragging on it can actually afford to buy one?

IMHO, i wish they could light-up the buttons & controls on the handle bars and radio/dash, they are kinda hard to find at night, they could back-light them like they do in autos. for newer riders, trying to find hi/lo headlight & turn signals --- etc.--etc. , this can pose a safety hazard when they are inexperienced & trying to maintain control of the bike.

Hmm... Looking at the hand controls would be safer then looking down the road? I do not think it would be, especially at night when you have to concentrate on the road looking for critters coming out at you. When I go from riding my Wide Glide to my metric it takes me all of about 30secs to remember where the switches are located. The only problem I have is remembering that the metric turn signals do not cancel themselves.

IMO, you probably shouldn't be riding down the road on a bike where you don't know where the controls and buttons are without looking at them. JMO though.
