Both cars are what others call it "boring" because its not a sport car.
Now the Elantra was better on gas, power, style, features.
So the only question is, RELIABILITY, does the Hyundai can match the Honda?
This is my first car that Im going to buy brand new, my car right now was old and was a gift from a friend. Im also considering the Mazda 3 s Sport hatchback, but its my last option, because of poor gas mileage.
Honda Civic is rated 26mpg city, Hyundai Elantra was rated 29mpg city. 3 miles difference is almost my one way travel to work, I travel 4miles one way.
My concern is should I pick the Civic because it is established as a very reliable car? Or is the Elantra worth it because its better on gas, and it is not far reliable than Hondas? not to mention it has an advantage of 8 more HP...I hope for your unbiased and knowledgeable answers. Thanks!
