In the UK brand new, the Cbr250 is around £1000 cheaper to buy than the ninja. So my money would be on the CBR250 to be honest (I also think thst whilst it doesnt look as 'sporty' as the ninja, it is a more recent, fresher design :)

If you are doing highway sorts of speeds regularly, have you considered getting a 500cc, such as a Suzuki GS500 or Honda CB500? (these would also be more comfy for a pillion) For the money you spend on a 250, you could more than likely get an as new 500cc and be able to run it for a couple of years. Also, you should have more luck when you come to selling it, as it seems in the UK at least, bigger bikes seem to appeal to a wider audience than the 250's do

Good luck and whatever you buy, keep it shiny side up :)

hi, i am new to the world of motorcycles, but decided that im going to purchase one to commute back and forth to college. i know some people obsess over the top speeds of the bikes but thats not what im really concerned about. my major concern is highway speeds. i need a bike that could easily maintain speeds of 65, 70, 75 without any problems. so i came across these two bikes, they are cheap and sporty. but my main concern is that their size will hinder their performance, so i need to know which bike out of these two will hit those speeds and above, even with a passenger, and be able to maintain those speeds for as long as i need.
