A few months back I purchased a brand new 2010 Toyota Corolla and the first oil change is coming up. What type of oil would you suggest/you are using in this car. Also if it matters I live in the northeast (cold winters).
I have read a few things from use synthetic every oil change (if memory serves 2010 corolla manual stated this...synthetic is pricey though), to every other oil change, or lastly using regular oil only.
What to do?
Could using regular oil as opposed to synthetic really harm the car? My thinking is oil is oil.Let me know what you guys think as I am confused as hell. Thanks
BTW I also have another Toyota (Camry w/ 237,000 miles) and have been using 10w-30 Quaker State regular oil since being bought brand new w/o any problems. I am in the mind set if it ain't broken don't fix it...but I also don't want to mess up the new car.
