2010 Street Glide Radio Problem

I know this one has been beaten to death, but now it's my turn! Anyone out there having an issue with the screen on the stock radio? Mine started displaying lines and now flashes on and off. Sound keeps on pumping but the screen goes dead.

Looks like it must still be under warranty; my guess is the unit will have to be pulled and repaired/replaced. Ususally anything with the 'display' requires major help behind anything a dealer can do. My local dealer tells me that they see a lot of radio issues, sometimes to the point that he said the replacement turnaround can be a couple of months.

Not sure if this dealer gives you a loaner stereo or a faceplate to cover the hole. I have a different issue but told him I'd wait until winter hits before dealing with it.

throw it away and buy a after market radio alpine cda 105. i went through 4 radios on my streetglide till i finally got tired of waiting for it to be refurbished. it didnt cost me nothing cuz it was still under warranty but i just got tired of the waiting.

The local dealer keeps a stock of refurbs on hand - just swaps 'em out and sends you down the road with tunes.....

I just had my radio replaced for the same reason. It started with some stray lines, then flashed off and back on, and eventually the display just stopped working. The radio never stopped playing music, the display just died. It took about 2 weeks for the dealer to get a replacement radio.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen on his Road Glide and the dealer said they've had a lot of radio issues.

If it wasn't still under warranty, I'd probably just replace it with an after market radio.
