2010 Mazda 3 performance upgrades help?

So Ive had my mazda 3 for about 2 months now and Im considering getting some performance upgrades done to it.

Only thing is, I dont really know much about whats the good brands, whats cheaper, etc.
Or where to buy them.

Im preferring better acceleration since it seems a bit slow.

My money limit is around 1k.

Any ideas?
 
be careful. you will void the warrenty with engine modifications. I would wait until you are out of the drivetrain warrenty period before making modifications.
