Did anyone have a 407 on the front of their bike that didn't cup, and how many miles do you have on it.
Thanks in advance Jonnierock

on my 2009 Road King Classic the tire started wobbling very bad at low speed, no cupping noted. This was at 1000 miles, new tire under warranty after keeping the bike for three days at the dealer trying to figure out the problem. Has a 408 on it now with no problems.

Actually its not a recall; its a service bulletin # M-1258. They will only replace it if you complain about noise and vibration and it has at least 3/32 of tread. If it has between 1/32 and 2/32 they will cover half.

The first front tire on my 09 RK was the 407. I put 19,600 miles on it, but it was cupped for a majority of that time. I didn't have trouble with vibration or handling so just ignored it. I replaced front and rear tires at 19,600 miles.

This new front 408 now has over 16k on it and is wearing PERFECTLY, not a hint of cupping or unusual wear at all. So whatever they did in the change worked.

I had the D407F tire from the factory , it started to make noise around 2,000 miles.
At 5,000 miles I asked about it at the dealer , they knew nothing about it.
I mentioned it again at 10,000 miles and they said it was just a bit noisy.
At 10,400 miles they replaced it no questions asked.
It wasn't cupped that bad , but the noise was driving me nuts , sounded like a snow tire on the front.
The D408 seems much better , but it makes quite a "whirring" noise since new.
I guess running stock mufflers just make things worse , as I can hear everything , everywhere , really well.
I still had 3/32" at the required measurement location on my D407F , so the replacement was free.

Just replaced the front 407 tire on my 09 SG due to cupping but can't really complain after 13,400 miles. The new D408 has the tread design reversed (or at least the rotation arrow has been reversed)
Guess I just got used to or ignored any handling issues.

I had about 5600 miles on my 09 front tire when my bike was in for service for a blown trans. They took one look at the tire and said I had one of the old tires and they'd replace it while in the shop. I didn't have any cupping or problems and never mentioned it. But they noticed and replaced it no charge.
