I'm looking at a 2008 Yamaha raptor 250cc. It has a 5 speed manual transmission, but doesn't have reverse. Do you really need reverse on a quad? It has headlights and a brake light. It is very light and has a lot of torque.
A comparable quad the Honda TRX300X has a bigger motor(282cc) but i watched the two race and the raptor can beat it at everything except top speed by a few mph. The Honda does have reverse. Even though it has a bigger motor the Honda has slower acceleration than the Yamaha because the Raptor has a lot more torque than the TRX300X. The Raptor weighs 330 pounds ready to ride. The TRX300X weighs 388 ready to ride.
I think it is a very good quad to have as my first quad. Just list your opinion/review about it. I'm going to be 15 in a month do you think my parents should buy this for me for my birthday/Christmas?
