In order to be ecological friendly, my firm bought five 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrids for each senior partners. In performance, how does it compare to a Toyota Camry V6?

I am a Nissan Hybrid certified technician. Until we get the new Nissan plug in electric and next generation Hybrid Nissan uses Synergy drive Toyota system. Very complex having two seperate propulsion systems electric regenerative brakes and electric A/C system electric power steering. Just the mega OHM voltage meter I have to have cost $3,500. I have to be very careful not to kill my self and make sure the car is powered down. Battery Li-Ion cost almost $5,000 and where do you recycle it? Because expected life of that battery is 4 to 6 years? You still use gasoline. All those filling stations emitting greenhouse gas fuel vapor. (Hybrid teaches how to drive an electric car) Next technological leap will be photovoltaic and plug in full electric. On foward to a future Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered car. Actually the company wants to look ecologically friendly. Those company officers still have there V-10 Mercedes Benz's, Mustang Cobra's, Nissan GTR's, And assorted 1960's muscle cars in there home garages.

The 2.4L I-4 Camry produces 158hp. 0-60mph 10.1 seconds.

The Camry Hybrid with the 2.4L engine and electrical motor produces a combined 187hp. 0-60mph 8.6 seconds.

The 3.5L V6 Camry produces 268hp. 0-60mph 6.10 seconds

The Camry Hybrid is a pretty good compromise in performance between the base I-4 and the V6, while beating both in fuel economy and maintenance costs.

Hope this helps.
