Actually the Recall numbers may give you a pretty close estimate.

In fact if you re-word your question and direct it to the right people you may get your answer. I believe every 2008 848 is affected by the recall. So that will be your number.


As for how many were White over Red you would need the VIN number ranges. But I'm willing to bet that it is at least 60/40 in favor of white.
 
if it helps i live in MN and in 08 15 848 were for sale i got the last white one available and the dealer told me 06 were white so in a state like MN the % was a little less than half so if you can get some total numbers and say 40% are white that should give you a good starting idea hope this helps
 
I was told by a ducati employee that they sold 10,000 units as a company in 08. That's all models. I have also heard that monsters account for roughly half of the sales. I have the same question about my 08 1098 and I have ran into similar responses. Still rare in comparison to the CBR 1000 I was looking at.
