2008 ninja 250R koso gauges, the bike wont run power to the gauges i dont where where...

...the bad wires are? i was installing koso gauges on my 08 ninja 250r, everything was working perfectly, i had all the wires right, but i was trying to hook up the rpm wire to a positive electrode. but on the right side where the spark plug is the positive coil, i took out the red wire and left it out (cause i forgot about it) then when i started the bike a few seconds later it stalled out. then after doing this about five times i looked down and realized that i left out the cord. now the needle on the gauge rotates around the meters but the LED lights in the backround dont work. so i think i have a short somewhere
