it has 29,000 miles on it and no problems to date.

i turned on my car to take a disc out then shut it off, 5 minutes later i wanted to turn it on to leave but nothing would work, couldn't open doors via remote nor lock them. could not start the car at all it didn't even make that "vrrrrrrr" sound none of the lights work or anything.

Check your battery. If none of the internal lights are coming on, that means there's no power from the car battery.

Check for physical signs first: corrosion on the terminals, hardened goop, broken cables and/or connectors, etc. But the only genuine and easiest way to see if your car battery is dead is to physically take it out of the car and bring it into a shop. I would try AutoZone. They test and charge batteries for free. Or get a jumpstart from a friend.

That would be a good place to start. I always start with little, "caveman" methods of troubleshooting, then I move consistently upward in complexity. After checking the battery, I would check the alternator. Once again, AutoZone will do that for free. It'd be easiest to get a jumpstart and drive to an AutoZone. Alternators tend to be hard to access in Hondas. They can test the battery, alternator, and starter all at once--as long as your battery is good.

But my main hypothesis is that the battery is dead. It'll happen sooner than later if you leave lights on, play the radio whilst the car is off, charge electronics, GPS, etc.

Sorry for the rambling. But I hope I've helped a bit!
