2008 Honda Civic Brake Failure?

I need feedback from other consumers whom had the breaks fail in their 2008 Honda civic. I did some research online and it appears there was a recall in Europe but not in America and im trying to build a case. You contact me via e-mail if you don't want to post it publicly.

my car only had 8000 miles on it
 
There was a recall on some 2007's for the same reason... (in Canada anyways)

Luckily mine wasn't one of them!
