2008 Ford F150 magnaflow custome exhaust ?

My dad has an 08 f150 XLT with the chrome package and I'd like to surpirse him with an exhaust.
I'm only 17 so I cant afford to get him a full exhaust kit from Flowmaster or Magnaflow but on craigslist I found 2 magnaflow boxes can I get those welded on to the f150? Will it sound nice? Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

no custume piping just wanted to replace OEM muffler box

also, on my 02 mustang gt i have dual flowmaster 40s will the truck sound louder than my car?

Dad may not like your idea it may back fire on you all though its a great idea....buy them and have dad get them installed. be sure they are the right diameter size pipe and can handle the flow from the truck exhaust.You don't want to cause an restriction in the exhaust and create a performance problem.
