2008 dodge ram with p 1776 code. Dealer says I need a new transmission.?

I'm not sure that will fix it. When the check engine light comes on it goes into limp mode it is in 4th gear and willnot shift up or down. Auto trans. Does anyone have a better suggestion cause the dealership is being a pain in the butt.
 
if the dealer says that's the problem and its under warranty and their offering to repair it why are you going to question it,its a free repair and you,ll get a free transmission from the deal and if that don't repair it they,ll still have to find the problem with it,to me that's a no brainier right there is to let them replace it at no cost and if that turns out not to be the problem you still wind up the winner in this one,they will have to repair it because its still under warranty,man anything they want to do to it let them,while you have the warranty use it,and enjoy it,good luck.
 
will they replace it under warranty? If so, doesn't matter, tell them you want a rental, you'll see them when it's done....

If it's out of warranty get a second opinion at another dealer.....
 
No way , No way You are telling me your truck is a 2008 and it need a new Transmission? What happen? Your truck is 1 yrs olds it should be running like a champ with no problem.

What is going on with Chrysler they are making poor reliability vechiles not safe ?
