2008 Dodge Charger R/T, keyless entry, battery died now alarm goes off when started.?

So during this winter I didn't use my car at all (just had a baby, and I had no reason to go anywhere, my husband used his car) So obviously, when a car sits for 5 months in below freezing temperatures the battery freezes. Well my dad stopped by to see if jumpstarting it with a starter pack would work, but all it did was turn the lights on and the alarm. Once he disconnected the charger pack it stopped the alarm. Now my husband and I have the battery charging, when he went out there to unlock the doors the alarm went off again (good thing the batterys holding a charge at least)

My question is, do we need to go the dealer to get the system reset so the alarm doesnt go off anymore?..I mean we can turn it off once it goes off with our keys, but its annoying. Or since the battery is charging now will the alarm stop going off?

I've heard things like the car goes into defensive stance once the battery dies and the only way to get out of it is to have it reset, but other people say theres something in the dash that can turn it off.

Anyways sorry if this isn't really worded well.
thanks for any help.
