2008 Cadillac , can i use standard oil?

I have a 2008 Cadillac with the northstar 4,6 V* engine, The manual calls for using Mobil One synthetic oil, Can I use standard, non synthetic, when changing oil ??

Can you? Yes. The question is why would you? There's no point to switching to conventional oil aside from cost..and if that's your reason you shouldn't be driving a Caddy.

Use what ever you want it's your car! If you want to own it for long I would follow the ownersmanual though???

You can, but Synthetic isn't that much more expensive, and it's significantly better as far as thermal breakdown compared to conventional oils. I'd suggest you put out the few extra bucks and stick with synthetic.
