2008-2009 kawasaki ninja 250r vs the 2007 250r which is better?

I like the look of the 2008-2009 better, and it's WAY cooler. But used 2008 is for $2800, and used 2007 is for $1500 obo. So is the older one worth it for that much cheeper? And is it even a good starter bike at all??? Looks arent as good, but not bad, and it's way cheeper...
 
in my opinion, the 2007 looks a little better, and because it's cheaper, i'd get it:)
