2007 Year End Lists

no, it wasn't. I know for a fact that enemy at the six listens to a large variety of music, besides metal.

not only that, but not all metalheaRAB fit the description you were implying.

Two Hunters is a fantastic album. I'd like to know some more banRAB like Wolves in the Throne Room if any of you are savvy enough to recommend some.

Dragonforce>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Anything that ever existed. Don't be jealous that you aren't awesome enough to ......... well, I don't know, but Dragonforce is almost as awesome as Wylde Stalyons.

Why can't everybody just be honest?

Be good peeps and admit that M.I.A. just is NOT particularly talented. It's not an opinion. It's a fact. She can't sing, has ridiculous childish lyrics often amounting to no more than half-baked agitprop, and anything/everything good about the music is down to the ****ing production team.

With that said, I'll admit to having enjoyed listening to her. But not because I think it's good. More like, because I like the energy , diversity, and some other aesthetics of the music.

no album apart from the ones by Patrick Watson (it was released in 07 in the UK anyway) Feist, Okkervil River, M.I.A or Manu Chao
should occupy the top spot

So? This is a music board. We're all(Well, almost all) serious music fans. Very, very few of us will stop liking a band because of their commercial success. If they become commercial in the process then that's very different.

Not at all, all her songs are fairly horrible

But on topic, I was surprised to see that Okervil River got top spot on one of the list, as well as Panda Bear, which is good, for I really liked their album lots....but I don't think I've ever heard any music from LCD SounRABystem actually.
