Shaw and Starchoice will only offer NFL in HD on Sportsnet, CBS Detroit/ Seattle, FOX Detroit/ Seattle and TSN. No extra transponder space will be allocated to extra NFL Sunday Ticket Games in HD on Shaw or Starchoice this year.

I'm not saying that Bell should jack up the prices. Im suggesting they charge $100 for the basic SD and $89 for the HD package. That way subscribers without HD won't have to pay extra for HD games they won't be able to watch anyways.

You are again, comparing an Americain supplier with a Canadian one...

What about on Vid

mine is not working either. Phoned and spoke with tech support and they had no clue as to what the problem was. The rep said they would rehit my recievers and it should be fixed with 15mins to 2hours. Needless to say I am not holding my damn breathe! Week 1 NFL coverage for this user = 0. This sucks!

Here is the breakdown of the 2007-2008 NFL Season below:

256 Total Games

44 Nationaly Televised Games (42 primetime + 2 Thanksgiving afternoon games) http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/primetime
--> Nationaly Televised Games are ALL in HD and are NOT on the NFL ticket
--> In Canada, these 42 primetime games all air in HD on TSN: http://www.tsn.ca/nfl/feature/?fid=433

212 Sunday Afternoon Games (NFL Ticket games)

FOX offers a maximum of 6 games a week in HD
CBS now offers 5 to 6 games a week in HD

17 weeks X 11 HD games = 187 HD games (there could be even more since CBS will sometimes do 6 HD games a week...). Up to 102 on BEV? I just think BEV has outdated information... at least I hope that's the case.... BEV's NFL ticket better show EVERY HD Game available this year or people will NOT subscribe the following year... especially since ALL games will be in HD next year (mandated by the NFL).

As for the "Features" in NFL Sunday Interactive... Here are the Features that the U.S. NFL Ticket on DirecTV offers that would be nice to have over here:

2) The GAME MIX channel with up to 8 live games at the same time
3) SHORT CUTS --> 30 min recap for every NFL ST game broadcasted around the clock from Midnight Sunday to Midnight Tuesday (48 hours)
4) HIGHLIGHTS-ON-DEMAND --> Same as #3 but automaticaly downloaded to your PVR for viewing whenever you want
5) SUPERCAST --> Every game, highlights, stats, scores, red zone channel LIVE on your PC (very useful for Fantasy Football).

More about the NFL in Canada for the 2007-2008 Season:

--> From CTV: "CTV officially welcomed its new partnership with The National Football League introducing a new look Sunday to the lineup. NFL fans can now make an appointment with CTV for the Regular Season Early Sunday Game, the entire NFL Playoff Slate and THE SUPER BOWL. For the first time ever, The Super Bowl joins THE ACADEMY AWARDS™ on one network schedule. It's television's most watched special and North America's most watched sporting event, together in the same month. It's Super February."

CTV airs a 1PM EST NFL game every Sunday and Rogers Sportsnet a 4PM game (Omni 1 and 2 to carry additional 4PM games)

BEV --> Check out what DirecTV is doing and please do the same:

Week 1 (Sunday September 9th) NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV

11/12 games are being broadcasted in HD and all 11 HD games are available in HD on DirecTV which requires them to have 9 HD Channels open at once (8 for the games + 1 for the NFLST Red Zone HD channel).

CH#
718 RZC NFL Sunday Ticket Red Zone HD

1PM Games
CH#
719 NFL Broncos @ Bills HD 1PM
720 NFL Steelers @ Browns HD 1PM
721 NFL Chiefs @ Texans HD 1PM
722 NFL Patriots @ Jets HD 1PM
723 NFL Dolphins @ Redskins HD 1PM
724 NFL Eagles @ Packers HD 1PM
725 NFL Falcons @ Vikings HD 1PM
726 NFL Panthers @ Rams HD 1PM

4PM Games
CH#
724 NFL Bears @ Chargers HD 4PM
725 NFL Lions @ Raiders HD 4PM
726 NFL Buccaneers @ Seahawks HD 4PM

Note that channels 724,725 and 726 are being used for 1pm games and re-used for 4pm games which means the beggining of the 4pm game may be lost to 1pm game overuns... I believe this is the first year DirecTV has overlapping games on the same channel...

P.S. The only SD game for Week 1 is Tennesse Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1pm CBS)

If Bell does not offer all games available in HD,it would be a major disapointment considering it is available and what the customer wants.Wonder if Bell will offer a discount for their sub-par package?

Time for a e-mail!

Again, NO I'M NOT! : I'm comparing BEV to BEV.
In years past (2004,2005,2006) BEV has shown EVERY HD game available.

I'm only comparing you to yourself and the standard YOU have set (and are now destroying).

IF I was comparing you to DirecTV, then I would be asking for:

-Red Zone Channel in HD
-Gamemix Channel (Screen split in 8 to watch 8 games at once)
-Supercast (real time NFL ST live steaming of games on the internet)
-Mobile Highlights (real time game higlights on your mobile phone)
-Highlights-on-demand (30min version of every NFL ST game downloaded automaticaly on your PVR every Monday morning)
-Shortcuts (30min version of every NFL ST game playing on NFL ST channels Monday and Tuesday every week)

As it stands, all i'm asking is for EVERY available HD game.... which is what BEV has provided for the past 3 years until now. This year (2007) you are charging me 10$ more for the package and providing me with LESS and you wonder why i'm complaining?

Next year, the NFL moves to ALL games in HD... don't be surprised if you lose a lot of subs... especially with DirecTV at over 100 channels of HD.

Ordered Sunday Ticket some time ago. Channels aren't red but all but one want to charge me 24.95. Called Bell and got the 'Well it will work on game day'. Doesn't help me now for programming.

The guy told me to set the timer and you will not get charged other then your original Sunday ticket...yeah right.

The Cleveland/Cincinnati game was about 10min late to join. Missed the pre-game, kickoff and first play. This was in SD, game was not in HD.

Could be worse; DirecTV in the US charges $269US for SundayTicket. If you want to get the games in HD, I believe you to pay an extra $99 to get the Superfan package but they do advertise 'up to 9 HD games per week' (actually I thought that Bell was just rebroadcasting the same SundayTicket so if they get 9 HD games, wouldn't we get 9 HD games as well?)

You will get 6 HD games on the Sunday Ticket channels.

On top of that you will get the 3-4 on CBS/Fox HD channels.

6 per week is over 100 games in HD for the year. Which is what they advertised the past couple years.

Nothing has changed.

BEV -->

Here are 11 HD Channels that can be temporarily turned off on Sunday afternoons (between 12pm - 8:00pm EST):

829 HD Preview
830 HD ENG PPV1
831 HD ENG PPV2
832 HD ENG PPV3
833 HD ENG PPV4
156 HD FR PPV1
157 HD FR PPV2
809 Treasure HD
810 Oasis HD
811 Rush HD
812 Equator HD

P.S. The Voom HD channels (809-812) are free and always air repeat programming. NFL ST costs 200$/year... = BEV do the RIGHT THING!

I called yesterday and told them about this and they said it was normal (bull). I called today and they said it was a problem and they are hoping to fix it by gametime. This is one major screwup.

Remamber that Diret TV is an Americain supplier...why don't you instead compare what is offered with the other Candian providers?

CBS will broadcast twice as much HD games this year as last year. So, if nothing has changed, that's not really that good...
