I just bought this motorcycle. I would like to know if there are any parts I should replace in advanced (IE shocks, gears, etc.) to as to enhance the long-term reliability of the bike and safety for highway driving. I have also noticed the bike tends to jerk a bit around 3rd gear when accelerating and not provide as much kick as I'd hoped (to do safe passing, for example). Any safe ways you would recommend to mod this bike?
BTW, far as "passing power"...I didn't expect more power. But, rather, more even pick-up between gears instead of distinct strong/weak RPM areas. So that's what I want to know...how to even out the power band and smoothness.
