2007 Emmy Winners in the Animation Category

That South Park episode had a lot of effort put into it, they deserved it. Season 10 was a stellar season.

Robot Chicken does not have more work put into it than South Park.

To be quite honest, I'm disappointed with the Emmy winners. South Park hasn't gotten better with it's Political-Based humor or it's parody-driven fame (even though "Make Love Not Warcraft" was a impressive episode). "Camp Lazlo" is just a bit of a "Spongebob Copycat" (a happy go lucky character living in a syndical and uncaring world) and not much of a memorable cast.

I thank the merciful lord that "Robot Chicken" never won a Emmy. If it did, the entire animation industry might of gone up in flames. I am horribly ashamed that neither Simpsons nor the Avatar won a award. (SIGH)

I hope next year that there will be a better selection and better animation.

Frickballs! I really don't care about animation-related awards.

But they seriously need to make an "apology" award to Angry Beavers. This show got snubbed so much in it's day...

I think it was a general juried category. Since things are taken out of the animation industry circle, the criteria subtly changes. Animation quality isn't as important, as the jurors would be looking at what entertained them the most. 'Make Love Not Warcraft' must have appealed to television workers' geeky sensibilities, moreso than a comparative novice to the Emmies like 'City of Walls and Secrets' (which demands a certain prior knowledge with the series itself to fully enjoy). The latter's less instantly pick-up-able than the former.

Don't worry, there's always next year. I doubt any series wins an Emmy on its first nomination.

Half of me is happy. When I clicked on this topic I sighed and thought "Simpsons again, right?"

Nope. Woo-hoo!

The Lazlo win is odd, but the Emmys rarely make any sense at all.

I would say Avatar has a lot more quality and value put into production, animation, and research, but yeah, South Park is more culturally relevant.

And it can be enjoyed by an older age bracket who doesn't have to watch every episode chronologically in order to know what's going on. Avatar is well known but I personally think it's appeal is limited.

Uh, although I havent seen Avatar yet, I heard its cool. South Park, on the other hand, got the emmy from all the tech, swearing and more.

Although Camp Lazlo got the other Emmy, I was seriously dissappointed, I wanted to kill the judge:sweat:
