Alright, So my older brother has a 2007 Dodge Ram... that he bought for 50,000. I fell in love with it, so he made me an offer cuz he's trying to pay off all his loans and the truck is kinda getting in the way of him doing so. He's working some crazy OT just to pay the bills.
He proposed to me that he would give me the truck if i made a loan and payed it off. All he owes left is around 15,000.
Should i do it? Is it a fair deal for the price? What's the trucks MPG? How are the Maintenance/Repair costs? Insurance costs, coverage???
I live in MA and never owned a vehicle before, and i just got my license. Anything else i should know about before i get in a big debt?
i work at a pharmacy earning 8.7 an hour, and i know that if i get the truck i could easily find a better job because i have security clearance and have had many offer on that field but haven't been able to accept them because the places are outside the metro are.
I could be making $47.00 an hour working for the Harris Corporation, inspecting antennas for civilian/military sector but that's in Bolton, MA and that's just outside the metro area.
