hi there. i have an 06 blaster and its super reliable, always runs great, never had a problem. UNTIL 2 DAYS AGO!!!! it was about a week since I took it for a ride so i said, hey, ill start it up, n make sure all is good. well...i do just that, and like a typical two stroke, it starts smoking for about five minutes. Typically it goes away, but i went for a ride...and as i pull the clutch in, i realize its stiffer than usual...but whatever...so...i hold the clutch in and kick to first...the quad starts rolling..hmmm....and i start to ride and I notice its not revving...full throttle just belches more smoke...so i try shifting with and without the clutch, and nothing happens...it allows me to kick up, up, down, down, but...theres no rpm change or speed change....then i say hmmm...so i pull it up to my driveway and hop off....as i walk away, i notice my exhaust pipe is covered in oil and for a few seconds it lit on fire, but i took a bucket of water and got it out. there was more oil alllll over the engine and suspension. dripping....in huge amounts...please heelp!!!!!!

HELLO; This sounds like a simple problem, first take a compression test of your motor, then if it comes up to spec. check and see if your not blowing the oil out of your breather tube which comes out of your motor case, and you might have blown out a gasket the compression test will tell a lot. Now about your clutch, if you still have tension on the lever it could be from the spring on the linkage, or the clutch might be bad, at any rate you might take off the cover and inspect the clutch, all it will cost is some oil and a gasket. GOOD LUCK....GREASY.
