Yesterday, I figured I'd take my bike out for a spin. I start it and let it warm up. Take it around the corner to a friends house. Sat there for about 20, then decided to leave.

Turned the key, all the lights, bells and whistles came on. When I tried to start it, all the light, bells and whistles cut off.

Turned the key off, then back on again and nothing. Waiting and tried again, the lights would stay on for a second, then turn off again.

Hooked a charger up to the battery while it was still connected to the bike and the lights would stay on, but the bike wouldn't start.

Jumped the bike from another battery and the bike would stay on as long as I had the jumpers connected. Once the jumpers were removed, the bike would turn off.

I'm 90% sure it's your alternator / mag. gen. being an asshole.

but you should replace your battery first just to be sure, you should never jump a motorcycle battery with a car btw. If the juicer didn't work then jumping won't work any better.

Check your fuses as well, but again sounds like a bad battery / alternator.
