2006 Honda Accord EXL Rear View Mirror Swapout?

I would like to swap out the stock rear view mirror which has a manual Day/Night lever with an Auto Day/Night Mirror with compass.

Can I swap this mirror out without removing the windshield mount or does it require swapping out the windshield mount as well?

Can I leave the stock windshield mount in place and just attach the new mirror at the ball pivot?
 
yes u can. pretty much all pivots are made the same. also most new rearview mirrors come with the pivot so its not like u have 2 buy a new pivot. and if it won't fit all u need is a blade and some rubbing alcohol to remove the old pivot. hope i helped
