I have a 2006 Ford Taurus SES. I have driven it for about 4 years now and never had any problems with it. Now all of a sudden it has a big problem. The problem occurs whenever I stop at a stop sign or stop light or anywhere, if I come to a complete stop or close to a complete stop. If I let off the brake, my car will not move at all. If I try to accelerate it will stick really bad and when I get it to move it will jerk really bad. I have taken it into a professional twice now and he cannot find anything wrong with it. He put something in the transmission because he thought it was just a shift problem. It has been almost a month since he put that in and told me it would solve my problem. I do not want to go back and pay more money if it isn't even solving the problem. WHAT DO I DO?!?

there are a couple of things that could be going on. One tauruses a notorious for trans. failure. also the shift solenoid could be sticking not allowing it to shift. the pro a s you called him probably put a lucas or slick 50 in it. these don't really fix the problem they are a band aid for a broken bone. I would take it to a certified trans. shop.

try this. change the fluid and filter. it sounds like the filter is getting clogged up and the pump can,t pick up the fluid. you say once you stop and then get ready to start out it won,t move? that,s what it sounds like, the transmission filter. now i can,t say if this will help but i saw it fix a lot of transmissions before. once you change the fluid and filter get a bottle of ( trans medic ) and put in it. i use it all the time.
