2006 Ford Focus cd player problem?

i've had my car for 2-3 years and sometime in the middle of winter my cd player started getting finicky. cd's would restart, skip, make ear shattering fuzz noises and just say "bad disk". this is now to the point where almost no cd works 100%, even ones that worked flawlessly before. what should i do about this?
 
Sounds like a real nuisance if you ask me. I would suggest getting a cd that cleans cd players, the lens might be dirty. If that doesn't work, might have to invest in another cd player.
