I've got a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser w/ 76,000 miles and it's has an oil leak around the timing cover. From what i've read I'm assuming the crankshaft and probally camshaft seals are shot. I've also read that Chrysler basically has a silent recall on the 2006 engine because of access camshaft play. Most engines are simply replaced but my question is, if I go ahead and perform the work will the leak immediately come back or should I have enough time to get rid of it before the leak reappears?
