Problems started suddenly earlier today. It first started when the RPM would jump back and forth between 1000 and 5000 RPM. Then the car died out as the car was moving - it's manual, but it wasn't the driver! As the car was moving, the car made a sound and shuddered like it was going to die out. Finally, we arrived at our destination, but when we tried to leave, the car wouldn't start. We can hear it crank, but it just doesn't start. Any idea what the problem could be?
