2005 Pontiac GXP premium gas?

hey so I'm thinking about buying a 2005 Pontiac GXP and was wondering if anyone had one and 1 if they liked it and 2 if it took premium gas or not. I am also wondering about the 5.3 engine in it, i don't know much about cars and heard that that engine hasn't been around for awhile. whats your opinion on the car?
 
Yeah, eonet....the 5.3 doesn't come with a supercharger on it...

I was to say the GXP runs on regular but it'd say it in the owners manual.

They're solid cars but the transmissions are weak on them(typical GM FWD transmissions, they suck).
