I have a 2005 Ford Escape XLS, and I'm experiencing heavy steering noises. I hear it mainly at low speeds and when turning. It's a low-pitched mechanical sound (not squeaky).
The Power Steering Fluid Level should be ok, it was checked by a mechanics 2 months ago. I've never flushed or replaced it though.
What can I do to fix this problem?
